Is Your Madness Mild Mannered?

Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results defines insanity.  The craziness of the world, and often your day to day life, can be maddening.  Experiencing madness is inevitable; however, succumbing to it is not.  Your
communication improves when you realize your role in the mayhem, treat madness in a mild mannered way, and call out what is crazy.

Crazy loves company but scatters under scrutiny.  When something does not make sense, do you question it? Perhaps it is indifference or confusion, but far too often, questionable claims go unquestioned.  Have the courage to strive to make sense out of the senseless, and the wisdom to stop yourself from tumbling down the rabbit hole.

The profound should not confound you.  Mysteries are the undefined edges of madness; treat them as opportunities to learn something, not as cause to thoughtlessly genuflect.  No matter how much you learn and grow, you will remain ignorant of a majority of the universe. Claiming omniscience when you speak comes off as arrogant and cuts you off from discovering finer distinctions.  Use the unknown as your growing edge, not to drive you, and your listeners, over the edge.

You presume you are making perfect sense when you are speaking, after all, you know what you are saying.  You contribute to mild, if not outright, madness when you assume what you have said is what is understood.  Take the time to over communicate and to explore possible misinterpretations.  We have all read ridiculous warning labels but fail to realize someone actually engaged in the proscription.  You may not eliminate the inane, but at least you can limit your contribution to it.

Again and again, you will be challenged, and occasionally amused, by  craziness;  just do not expect different results
until you stop manufacturing the madness.
