Are You Potentially Connected?

Speaking in public displays your potential to exceed, meet, or recede from your capacity to connect.  Your potential may not be unlimited, but it is often inhibited by self-limiting beliefs.  When you open your heart as wide as your mouth, you tap your potential to connect, to grow, and to inspire others.

Every act of courage on your part encourages others.  Just standing up before your peers can help someone begin to transcend their fear of speaking. It is even better if you  fumble a bit.  You might not enjoy tripping over your words or forgetting what you were going to say next, but your audience will forgive you.

You may find it hard to believe that your audience really wants you to succeed.   Before you watch a movie or listen to a
presentation, are you thinking, “I hope this is really bad”?  Maybe you have sat through a horrible film just hoping it would get better before the end. That’s a testament to your enduring hope for positive events. Your audience is positively primed, so, be inspiring by committing to your personal and professional growth.

Don’t just go through, grow through the day.  You have the potential to capture and communicate an inordinate amount of information.  When you seek out and share ideas and beliefs that are on your growing edge, you will find there is much more which connects than divides us.

Your potential to connect can always be refined.  Struggle to find just the right way to say it, so what is heard is in line with what you meant.  The meaning of your message will gain the greatest purchase in your audience’s mind when it is conveyed
with emotion.  Words tickle the mind but feelings grab the heart.  A meeting of the minds may suffice but the attempt to join hearts, when you speak, develops your potential to inspire, to grow and to connect.
